Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use StorySpark (storyspark.nrdblm.se), which Bjorn Nordblom runs. By creating an account or using StorySpark, you agree to them. How we handle data is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Who can use StorySpark

  • Accounts are for adults: parents, guardians, and teachers.
  • Children use StorySpark through a student profile that a grown-up creates and supervises. You are responsible for the student profiles you create and must be allowed to create them (for example, as the child’s parent or with a parent’s consent).

Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep your password safe.
  • Each student’s private link and key work like a password. Share them only with that student. If one leaks, reset it from the student’s settings.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account and your students’ profiles.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • try to make StorySpark produce content that is unsafe, hateful, sexual, or otherwise unsuitable for children;
  • enter sensitive personal details, such as real full names, addresses, or health information, into stories;
  • break the law, infringe other people’s rights, or use StorySpark to harass anyone;
  • scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or work around StorySpark’s security or usage limits.

AI-generated stories

Stories, questions, and feedback are written by AI. Every story is fiction, and all characters are made up. We instruct the AI to stay age-appropriate, but it can still make mistakes, including wrong facts in “learn real facts” stories or an unfair score on an answer. Grown-ups should supervise children’s use and treat scores as guidance, not grades.

Your content

You keep your rights to what you and your students type in, such as character ideas, choices, answers, and class prompts. You let us store and process it only to run StorySpark for you. That includes sending story inputs to AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy. When you share a story, anyone with the link can read it until you turn sharing off.

Plans and payment

  • Free. Every account can have 1 reader profile, who can start up to 5 new stories or chapters on each day they use StorySpark (days start at midnight Swedish time). Review pages and all safety and privacy controls are free, whatever your plan.
  • StorySpark Family is a subscription that adds more reader profiles, more stories and chapters each day, weekly class prompts, share links and report downloads. The price is shown on the plans page and on the payment page before you pay. Stripe takes the payment. The subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel.
  • Cancelling. Cancel any time from your profile (“Manage or cancel subscription”) or from the link in any subscription email. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Family until the end of the period you already paid for. Then the account moves to the free plan and nothing is deleted.
  • 30-day money-back guarantee. Email bjorn@nerdblom.se within 30 days of your first payment and we refund that payment in full. No reason needed.
  • Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU, you can also withdraw from the contract within 14 days of subscribing without giving a reason: use the “Withdraw from contract” button in your profile (Your plan), or email us. The button ends your subscription at once. We refund the payment in full; refunds are issued by hand, so allow a few days. The guarantee is in addition to this right and to any other rights you have under consumer law.
  • Plans are for grown-ups. We never show prices or ask for payment in the parts of StorySpark that children use.

Availability and limits

StorySpark comes with daily usage limits to keep it fair for everyone. We may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time. If we plan to shut StorySpark down, we will give account holders reasonable notice so they can save their stories first, and stop billing.

Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using StorySpark at any time and delete your account from your profile. When you do, your readers can no longer sign in, straight away, and everything is deleted after 30 days unless you change your mind. An active subscription stops renewing. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users or the service at risk.

No warranty; limitation of liability

StorySpark is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss of data, from using StorySpark. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we will update the date at the top. For significant changes, we will tell account holders by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using StorySpark after that, the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, without prejudice to any mandatory protections in the country where you live.
